Bird color changing boots2/16/2024 ![]() When I asked Thomas Bird if they could return it for me, they told me I could just take it to my local cobbler, have them trim the extra length off for me, and then Thomas Bird would reimburse me for it. And then when it came in, the belt that I had bought turned out to be just a teensy bit too big for me. I caught it about 15 minutes after I ordered it and the guy at Thomas Bird got back with me immediately and changed the order for me. It has a black body, a well-defined white throat, and a bright blue eye. Or for more dense forests, opt for darker shades. In lightly shaded woods, look to wear light yellows, greens, and browns. This could mean lighter greens and browns for open fields or grassy areas. Try to match the colors of your clothing to your surroundings. The Toco toucan is a beautiful bird with a large bill. This, combined with the fact that I wanted a Chelsea boot that was just black without any brogueing or accent colors or anything like that, actually kinda made it a little hard for me to find something under $400. I'm also short (5'5") and pretty slight of build (I fluctuate between 125-130 lbs), so I tend to prefer narrower lasts with sleek profiles. I didn't care if it was Blake or Goodyear, but I definitely didn't want something glued together. I wanted something that was of decent quality at a good price point. I've been wanting to purchase a pair of Chelseas for a really, really long time. Shultz, most birds that appear green to you and me are actually a combination of blue feather structure and yellow pigment. Just purchased my first Chelsea boots after months of researching to see what I'd like in a pair.įirst of all, I want to thank this subreddit for helping me out. Pigments produce color by absorbing specific wavelengths and are one of the two ways birds get to be so vividly colorful, the other being the physical structure of the feather.
